I. Before the event
Step 1 – Technicalities
Email us at hello@getmoments.com & provide the following:
Subject: [Your artist name] Get Moments Live Video
Song title
Date, time and venue of your concert
A square (1:1) logo of the artist
Step 2 – Make sure your fans know
Post on social! “Heads up, we’ll be filming a music video at the event & you’re the directors!”
People can use any camera app to film the videos, but they must have the Get Moments app to upload them. This is the only way we can collect and work with fan footage.
Step 3 – At the venue
Put up signs with QR links for the app
Have a plan for who will film from the stage – this usually helps tie the video together
II. During the event
Step 1 – Record the audio
We can’t stress this enough – please make sure you record decent audio of the song. A mix of a mixer recording + room audio works great for atmosphere, just a mixer out / room audio only will do OK.
Sound is king. We can do a bit of AI mastering but you know how the saying goes with turds and polishing… 🙏🏻
Step 2 – Get your fans filming!
Announce before the song starts: "Get your phones out for the next song!"
Again – it’s a good idea to have someone film a "master shot" from the stage / sound booth
Vertical works best for sharing on social media.
III. After the event
Step 1 – Send us the audio ASAP
24-48hrs is best, we literally can’t move without it
Step 2 – Urge fans to upload
Someone’s bound to have forgotten – send out a few posts reminding your fans to (download the app and) upload their footage. Stress that they’ll all get their own cut of the experience.
Step 3 – Kick back & wait
We do the work
We’ll send you a version for approval
Everyone then gets their own cut. Takes about 2-3 days.
