At Electric Castle 2026, Get Moments converted four days of fan filming into 19,330 uploaded UGC videos and photos and hundreds of EC-branded recap videos, over half of which fans shared or downloaded on their own.
Get Moments was built into the official EC app via SDK integration, surfaced as a single overflow menu item ("Create Your Aftermovie"), turning personalised recap creation into part of the normal festival experience.

The challenge
Electric Castle generates an enormous amount of fan-shot video and photo content across its four days and 250+ artists, but almost none of it reaches the festival organisers or its sponsors in a usable form. It sits on fans' phones, outside EC's official channels, with no rights to reuse it and no way to search or measure it for brand impact.
EC’s daily highlights and festival aftermovie generate significant engagement across its channels. Get Moments created an additional layer of distribution by placing that official content inside personalised fan recaps, giving fans a new reason to share EC content through their own networks and extending its lifecycle beyond the festival.
The solution
Four activities ran across the festival: a daily recap for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and one full-festival recap once the official aftermovie was ready. Each prompted fans by email and push notification to upload their own footage, turning that prompt into the trigger for both content capture and re-engagement.
“The interesting part for us was turning something that already happens naturally, thousands of people capturing EC from their own perspective, into something we could build on. Fans got a personal way to relive and share their festival, while we gained valuable UGC and another way for Electric Castle content to travel beyond our own channels.” Iulia Dobrai | Digital Marketing Manager
Daily recaps: Aftermovie template
For each day, fans could build their own aftermovie recap in a matter of minutes: their best moments from the previous 24 hours uploaded to the app and auto-spliced together with the corresponding daily highlights reel EC's team produced.

This activity did the brand-exposure heavy lifting. Electric Castle's official content—stages, performers, even sponsor placements—is already embedded in their official daily highlight reels. Through the recaps, it now travels inside something personal enough for a fan to want to share.
Instead of stopping at EC's channels, the brand, the artists, and any sponsor integration in that reel extend into every network the fan shares their recap with.
Daily recaps: Mosaic template
The second daily recap option, using the Mosaic template, carried no official footage at all. The recap is auto-edited for timing and clip usage, and closes with a mosaic image of the EC logo.

Mosaic is the emotional, ownership-driven option: a keepsake made from a fan's festival experience, opening with their nickname, branded by the shape it takes at the end. The curiosity of seeing the final reveal is a different share trigger from the Aftermovie template.
My EC Recap: Extending the festival's content lifecycle
My EC Recap only unlocked once Electric Castle’s team had finished and uploaded the official full festival aftermovie. For fans who had already set up their reminder thanks to prior promo by the team, a push notification invited them back to build a recap spanning the whole festival, combining their photos and videos from all four days with the finished aftermovie.

For anyone who had not seen the option to create their personalised aftermovie in the EC app, the team sent out a push notification to all event app users alerting them that they could now create their own aftermovie.
Most festival content goes quiet within days of the last set, but My EC Recap deliberately re-opened the moment and gave fans a reason to relive the festival, putting EC back in front of them at the point where nostalgia is highest and next year's ticket decision is still open.

Results
41% of interested fans who started the flow went on to create a recap. That conversion rate is a sign that the SDK placement removed enough friction to keep fans in the loop.
Of the recap videos created, 53% were shared or downloaded by the fans who made them. That's the number that verifies brand exposure: every Aftermovie recap that gets shared carries EC's official content out past EC's channels into a fan's network—at no additional production cost.
Fans uploaded 19,330 pieces of raw footage, and 55% of it came through with usage rights enabled. That’s roughly 10,630 photos and videos EC can legally reuse in future marketing, sponsor reporting, and ticketing promo.

The 2,715 recap views logged in-app held attention once fans came back to watch their finished videos: 71% of views ran past 90% of the video. That’s measurable brand visibility that the team can use as a reference for partner upselling in the next edition.
None of this required EC's team to shoot or edit additional content. The SDK integration, the four-activity structure, and the two recap templates did the production and distribution work that a standalone content team otherwise would have had to do by hand.
